Prezi is a great presentation tool that can be used many different ways. It could be used to present Social Studies or Science research, or create an interesting character study for ELA. Best used by upper elementary grades, middle and high schoolers, however, the animation, zoom and other features make it great for presenting material to all grades.  Here is an example of library rules and procedures for an elementary library.

Classroom Management for Middle School Power Point

Rules, rules, rules... are very important!  Here is a PowerPoint I created for the beginning of the school year.  Geared for middle grades, here are a few basic rules, that I'll go over, and over, and over...

Pathfinders

Creating Pathfinders helps the student to guide their research. Pathfinders are especially helpful when teaching students how to evaluate information. By modeling access links to credible sources, the student will learn to find their own credible resources. Below is a link to a Pathfinder I created for Thomas Alva Edison directed to middle school students.

Today I created me...Voki

Another day... another example.  Today I created a Voki.  Very simple really.  I used just a basic face and tweeked it, hair, eyes, face shape and lips to make it look a bit more like me.  Unless you have a classroom account your choices are somewhat limited.  The process is quite easy and the instructions are thorough.

GoAnimate The Southwest!

I had a lot of fun creating this GoAnimate video.  It was created to introduce a lesson on the Southwest.  The audio is a little muffled, but you can get the idea.
